The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) and Community Services (CS) take your privacy very seriously. The following delineates our policy on the maintenance of your privacy and information we collect.

What this Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy covers how WCPSS and the Community Services department handles any Information that we collect or receive about you or your business (herein referred to as "Information").

Any time you register with one of the services provided on this website, Community Services collects Information such as your name, address, email address, phone numbers, and in some cases social security numbers or business information.

Community Services also archives Information about your transactions with Community Schools programs, including dates, amounts, payment type, and other necessary transaction Information.

We do not transmit, collect, or store Credit Card numbers of any transactions.

Community Services uses this Information to provide a custom tailored environment and convenient access to certain services and functions of the website, to plan and improve future services, to contact our customers or conduct usage research, and to provide usage reporting for internal use.

Though we reserve the right to send you communications such as administrative notices and payment reminders without providing an opt-out feature, any advertisements, newletters, or other mass communications will be provided as Opt-In services.

Information Sharing & Disclosure

WCPSS and Community Services does not share, rent, or sell Information with other people or businesses except to provide products or services you have expressly requested. The only exceptions to this policy are:

The Community Services web site may set and access cookies on your computer for the purposes of maintaining an optimal user experience while browsing the site. Account Deletion

At any time, you may choose to delete any accounts you may have registered with Community Services. Doing so will remove personal Information from our databases. However, some Information will be retained in our archives, for purposes of financial records and reporting, and annonymous usage reporting.

WCPSS maintains physical and electronic safeguards on all databases that are maintained by Community Services. Your accounts are password protected for your security. Where possible, WCPSS uses SSL encryption to ensure secure transmission of data.

Any Information collected by Community Services is accessible only to employees who have a reasonable need to access the Information in order to do their jobs.
